StoneRidge Golf Club opened to the public on July 4, 2000, and is once again the #1 public access golf course in the Twin Cities according to Golfweek Magazine. Designed by Bobby Weed, this links style course features rolling bentgrass fairways framed by native fescue grass. Large undulating greens and rustic irregular bunkering gives you a sense of playing "across the pond," in your own Minnesota backyard.
Every visit to StoneRidge allows you the opportunity to enjoy the hospitality of a staff dedicated to outstanding customer service. Enjoy the culinary skills of Executive Chef Ron Bohnert, who directs the entire food operation from house made chocolate chip cookies to beautifullly served wedding receptions and banquets. Come for the golf and stay for the food!
StoneRidge Golf Club is semi-private and affordable memberships are available. Information can be viewed by clicking "Membership" on the left hand navigation bar.

What I often see in golfer’s setup before the swing is taken is that they tend to be reaching for the ball with their hands way out in front of their body, especially with the driver. This is common because you feel like you can get more power and leverage the farther away you stand, Not True. Your body needs to be able to hinge correctly and release the club on your follow through, so the arms and hands need to be RELAXED. Make sure in your setup that your arms and hands just dangle straight down from your shoulders, which means having to stand closer to the ball for most. This again allows you to hinge your hands correctly on the backswing and release (turn your hands over) on your follow through. A pretty simple explanation but it works.
